(Electrical Project) Robust Torque Control for Automated Gear Shifting in Heavy Duty Vehicles


In an automated manual transmission it is desired to have zero torque in the transmission when disengaging a gear. This minimizes the oscillations in the driveline which increases the comfort and makes the speed synchronization easier. The automated manual transmission system in a Scania truck, called Opticruise, uses engine torque control to achieve zero torque in the transmission.

Generalizing the common pattern of implementing Regular Expressions (RE) by converting them into a finite automaton that can be programmed, is the main idea of the Regular Expression Java Code Generator. Writing code that writes code has been introduced in Lisp, but taking this into a higher level by introducing the possibility to execute, and modify the written code is the main aim of this project. A “compiler” for regular expressions is useful to turn the expressions we write into executable code.

This project is an analysis of two different concrete gravity dams. One of the dams, the Baozhusi Hydropower Station, is a fully functional concrete gravity dam situated in the Sichuan province in the Peoples Republic of China. This dam reopened again after its upgrading, which was finished in 1998.
